Coronavirus: Milan set for lockdown

Italy is preparing to shut down the region of Lombardy to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The number of people who have died from the virus in Italy has jumped by 36 and now stands at 233.

The number of cases has also risen dramatically, by over 1,000 to 5,883.

A draft decree has outlined measures to stop people from entering or leaving the area which includes the financial capital Milan.
